Langtang valley trekking is also called the valley of glaciers trek. It is one of the most popular trekking areas in Nepal, as the trekking to the area offers a multitude of trekking destinations and is one of the closest places to get up and close with massive snow-capped mountains and beautiful glaciers. This valley is located only 19 miles north of Kathmandu and is dominated by Mount Langtang Lirung (7246m/23766ft), offering beautiful pine forests, swift mountain streams, rugged rock and snow-capped peaks, grassy dawn and meadows. This trek is ideal for those with less time as it can be completed in 8 days.
Day 01 – Arrive in Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel.
Day 02 – Drive to Syabru Besi (8-9hrs) Alt. 1,503m / 4,929ft.
Day 03 – Trek to Lama Hotel Alt. 2,410m / 7,904ft. (5hrs)
Day 04 – Trek to Langtang Alt. 3,430m / 11,250ft. (5hrs)
Day 05 – Trek to Kyanjin Gompa Alt. 3,830m / 12,562ft. (3 1/2 hrs)
Day 06 – Exploration day at Kyanjin Ri (4,773m)
Day 07 – Trek back to Lama Hotel Alt. 2,410m / 7,904ft. (5hrs)
Day 08 – Trek to Thulo Syabru Alt. 2,210m / 7,248ft. (4hrs)
Day 09 – Trek to Dhunche Alt. 1,960m / 6,428ft. (4hrs)
Day 10 – Drive to Kathmandu Alt. 1,350m / 4,428ft. (8-9hrs)
